The American Marketing Association Collegiate Chapter at the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville (UARK) is a student-led organization dedicated to providing students with the skills, real-world experience, and networking opportunities to further their professional success through involvement within both the University of Arkansas and the Northwest Arkansas community. Our chapter strongly focuses on the terms "Seek to Serve" and to give back to the community as our organization truly believes in helping others and working towards an effective goals. By Hosting multiple events throughout the year, AMA offers unique opportunities for students to get involved and enhance their knowledge of the professional world they will enter after graduation.
This year, the American Marketing Association chapter at the University of Arkansas has chosen "Deep Diving to Find our Blue Ocean", taking ideas from the book 'Blue Ocean Strategy" by W. Chan Kim, as our theme for the 2018-2019 year. "Blue Ocean Strategy" is an award winning marketing theory book that analyzes how to create a new market space and making competition irrelevant. Deep diving into the lessons and strategies learned in this book, it is the goal of Arkansas AMA to become a Blue Ocean organization at the University of Arkansas, offering stimulating and innovative opportunities and resources unavailable elsewhere on campus or in other organizations.
